The North East Region is governed by the Regional Board which meets regularly and brings matters to the National Council. Details of officials can be found here.

The Regions are particularly relevant to competitive cyclists as BC provides ranking points for individuals, Clubs and Regions at National level and for individuals and Clubs at Regional level (http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/web/site/BC/Rankings/RankingsMainRoad.asp ).

It includes the areas around Darlington, Durham, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Cleveland, Sunderland and York.
